Consultants will generally remain on the jobsite with the Jobseeker for the duration of the Workplace Training and Assessment to:

Assist the training of the Jobseeker to meet the productivity expectations of the employer;

Undertake an assessment of the needs, skills and suitability of the Jobseeker to the position;

Identify any Workplace Modifications that may provide a benefit to the Jobseeker and enable them to be more productive in the workplace;

Identify any employer incentives that the placement may qualify for; and
-
Most importantly to support both the Jobseeker and Employer through the program and facilitate the development of effective employer, employee and/or co-worker relationships.
Workplace Health and Safety and Insurance
During an un-paid Workplace Training and Assessment (Work Experience) process DES will organise appropriate insurance coverage for the participant and the supporting DES consultant at absolutely no cost to the employer.
NB. Once an Jobseeker is hired by the employer, the employer is then responsible for Work Cover.
